Midwest Arts Business Workshop

Dear Artist,

You are registered for the Midwest Arts Business Conference, Fairfield, Iowa, April 11-13. The Midwest Arts Business Conference is being held in partnership with the Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk.

When you arrive please enter though the front entrance; registration will be in the main lobby.
The conference will begin at noon on Friday, April 11. Registration will open at 11:00am; please arrive 60-30 minutes early allowing time to register.

The Midwest Art Business Workshop is tailored for 3 dimensional artists, 2 dimensional artists and gallery owners and employees. We are very excited to be able to offer you a wide range of topics each day. The Friday seminars will be held in the theater; the seminars Saturday and Sunday will be in the meeting rooms A, B and C and each day we will have opening remarks in the theater.

The schedule is broken down into 2D, 3D and Gallery seminars. We have divided the seminars up for your convenience but you can choose your own path. You are welcome to take any of the seminars that you choose.

To see if you registered in time to receive a mentoring session, please check the list at the bottom of the page. The time slots are subject to change, so please confirm your time slot on site. Please be prepared for your mentoring session 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

Parking at the Convention Center

Free parking will be available around the convention center and paid parking will be available in the Main Street square.

Mentor Session
Please arrive 5 minutes early for your mentor session. During this time you will be able to set up your materials.

Please bring a portfolio of your work, marketing materials and anything you would like the mentors to look at. Printed images are suggested; we will not have slide lights, so slides will be very hard to read. We prefer that you bring images and not the actual pieces.

Artists and galleries are assigned to mentors on a first come first serve basis. Artists and galleries are not assigned to mentors based on medium. All mentors are qualified to mentor any artist or gallery on their business needs.

Visiting Artists Program

Dear Visiting Artists,

You are registered for the Arts Business Institute’s Visiting Artists Program held in Philadelphia, PA. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Visiting Artists Program is held in partnership with the Buyers Market of American Craft.

When you arrive at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, please enter using the Market Street and Arch Street entrance. Take the escalator and follow the signs to the Buyers Market of American Craft located on the second level. Registration will be set up in the foyer in front of Hall A. The Visiting Artist Registration will be held at Exhibitor Will Call. At registration you will receive your badge and a binder with supplemental information provided by the faculty to reinforce the topics that they will be presenting.

All of the workshops will be held in Room 201A of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Visiting Artist Lounge will be in room 303AB on the third floor. The lounge will have resource materials as well as a wonderful view of the show floor.

To see if you registered in time to receive a mentoring session, please check the list at the ABI Blog at the bottom of the page. The time slots are subject to change, so please confirm on site at the Visiting Artist Lounge. Please be prepared for your mentoring session 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

At the request of many artists attending the BMAC we have found discount parking! If you would like to get a discount on your daily parking please use either of these parking lots.

Please bring your parking stub to the Buyers Registration to get your validation to receive your discount .
**The discount will NOT apply for any over night parking.

TACA 2008

Dear Artist,

The Arts Business Institute's Art Business 101 in Nashville Tennessee held at the Scarritt-Bennett Center is right around the corner! Art Business 101 will be held in partnership with the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists on February 1, 2008 at 10:00a.m.

Registration will open at 9:00a.m. and the registration table will be set up in the lobby of Room C in the Laskey Building, located on the Scarritt-Bennett Center campus. At registration you will receive your badge for the workshop and a binder with supplemental information provided by the faculty to reinforce the topics that they will be presenting. All of the workshops will be held in Laskey Building, Room C of the Scarritt-Bennett Center. Here, you will also find an information and resource table with periodicals and art related information.

Please arrive 40-50 minutes early to register.

If you registered in time to receive a mentoring session, please check the schedule at the information table to confirm your time slot. Please be prepared for your mentoring session 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

Lunch and refreshments will be offered in the Susie Gray Dining Hall.

You will be able to park in lots A, B & C on the Scarritt-Bennett campus. Additionally, metered parallel parking is available on 18th Ave., Edgehill Ave. and Grand Ave.

Wholesale 101 is held in partnership with the Art Up initiative focused on assisting North Dakota artisan businesses in pursuing new sales channels to increase sales.
